How are Integral Blinds Made?
Integral blinds consist of high quality aluminium venetian blinds that are situated within the double glazed unit.
A double glazed unit is hermetically sealed in order to be energy efficient and sealed. When fitted with an integral blind it is no different other than having an internal blind fitted.
How do integral blinds work?
To lift or lower the blind and to tilt the blind slats is carried out by simple magnetic operation. There are no external wands or cords found with typical blinds.
Specially designed guide rails ensure that the magnets cannot be removed from the glass ensuring that they stay in place.
The glass used for integral blinds in glass is Pilkington Activ Neutral and Planitherm Total plus with Argon Gas. Other glass specifications to suit individual requirements are available. Double glazed units are standard but triple glazing is also possible.
